2026 Travel Team

Tryout for the FLAG FOOTBALL ELITE Travel Team!

Season Dates: NFL FLAG Panthers Tournament April 19th, 2026

Tryouts: 01/24/2026, 8:00–10:00 AM

Ages: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 15-17

Location: Northwood High School Confirmed

Athletes who qualify will be invited to register for the Travel team.

Travel Team Parent Commitment Overview

To help families plan ahead, here is what the commitment will look like for all travel team participants:

Season Registration

Players must be registered for the Early Spring and it is strongly recommended to engage in the Late Spring NFL FLAG seasons.

Age Requirement (August 1 Cutoff)

NFL FLAG uses an August 1 age cutoff. This means:

• Whatever age your athlete is on August 1, that is the age division they will compete in for the entire following year (through the next August 1).

• For example, if a player turns 11 on August 2, they will compete as a 10U player for the entire season year.

Additional Practice Requirement

Travel players will have one additional practice over the course of the early spring seasons, held at:

• Fridays, 5:30–6:30 PM

• The Park at Briar Chapel, Pending Durham Location based off of registrations

• Early Spring: Feb 21 – Mar 28, 2026

Travel Team Registration Fee ($250.00)

This fee includes:

• Travel team jersey and shorts set (personalized)

• An additional NFL FLAG jersey for the regional tournament (at time of competition)

• Tournament Individual registration fee

• Additional Practice Sessions

• Additional field-use costs associated with travel team practices

Cost should not be a barrier to participate. Please email us if there is a desire to play but a financial strain impeding that desire.

Please Note:

• No player will be turned away. Every player that has a desire to play will play and will be exposed to regional level competition for NFL FLAG.

• Once a player is selected for the travel team, participation in scheduled practices, games, and tournament event is expected to ensure team consistency and competitive readiness.

• Team break downs are based off of skill, leadership, commitment, coach evaluation, and positional needs. Our goal is to ensure a fair, transparent, and competitive selection process for all athletes.
